[Trails of Cold Steel] Part 2 - Chapter 1 Part 1 - Quests and Practical Exam

Part 2 in our epic journey of this game! We get through about the first half of Chapter 1. We work through some quests and take a practical exam!
Trails of Cold Steel is a more modern RPG that can be used as a second starting point to the Legend of Heroes series. This game takes place in a large world which started with Trails in the Sky FC. There are some references and discussions on what happened in the Sky games, but not enough to prevent people from playing this game first.
Trails of Cold Steel is an RPG that expanded on the grid concept which was introduced in Trails in the Sky. Now for the Cold Steel games, it is an attack and move radius and not a grid. Player characters and enemy characters take turns, and the turn order itself is a critical part of the turned based strategy. You need to make a decision to perform a costly interruption of an enemy's turn to prevent bonuses, or save that moment for later in the fight when it can be more powerful. As a fan of Final Fantasy X and Persona 5, I have not found that many RPGs I enjoy. Later Final Fantasy games or other RPGs did not have the turned based combat that is my absolute favorite. While I do enjoy Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the characters is what make that game and not the combat for me personally. This game is an evolution of the turned based combat introduced in Trails in the Sky.
I highly recommend this game to anyone that watches this and has any interest in RPGs. While this is more modern than Trails in the Sky and needs more modern hardware, we are still talking about recommended requirements includes graphics cards released in 2013. Very limited requirements to run this game and it still works on Windows 11! It is available in Steam. I will also be giving away a couple of copies of this game later in my let's play so stay tuned!
