Occidental (OXY) Gets CRUSHED | Occidental Petroleum Stock Analysis
For the first time I'm going to have a look at an oil stock mainly just to laugh at them. We're starting with a P/E of negative 10 (34 forward), which is terrible. We continue with a dividend yield of 25% which is completely and utterly unsustainable. The balance sheet actually increased by 150%+ on both sides with $34.2 Billion in stockholder's equity, which isn't terrible. The company lost $667 Million last year, which is down from a profit of $4.1 Billion. Obviously this can't continue unless the oil price goes up significantly.
