This video is an in depth look at the new free distressor plugin by Kiive Audio called Xtressor Nuke.
In the video I do a technical analysis of the plugin (compression transfer curve, harmonic saturation) as well as test the plugin on many different audio sources including a complete acoustic drum kit, individual drums components (snare, kick), a live bass guitar, a bass pad and electronic drums.
I also test the versatility of Xtressor Nuke by using it as a parallel limiting bus and testing the different features like dry/wet mix, internal high pass sidechain filter, oversampling and the different compression release times.
