Puffer fish (Diodon holocanthus) was stun by ~-60 degree temperature change due to upwelling (natural event in the ocean). Fish spent a day with me after I picked it in the morning on the Atlantic ocean beach. Beach had ~50 dead fishes by that time. Late in the evening puffer fish eventually escaped into the intra-costal lagoon where environment is more gentle. She has two option: stay alive or be eaten by other creatures of the sea.
Event of massive fish death was in a local West Palm Beach News. But only few kinds of fish such as Bermuda Chub and puffers were affected.
