HughesNet Review - The Worst ISP in America?
This HughesNet Review was created due to the horrible experience I saw in this ISP. If you have any other option besides a Satellite Internet Service, please look at that option before choosing HughesNet.
Over the years I have seen a lot of HughesNet customers very upset, so much so they call the company a scam. Truthfully, they are not but they do choose the words they use very carefully to ensure they appear to be a better ISP than one would experience.
Visit the FCC to find local ISPs in your area: https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/
If there is a "Fixed Wireless" option, please look into that over a Satellite ISP.
The main things you need to look for are;
-ISP Guarantee Speeds
-ISP Data Limits
-Latency/Ping
If the company requires upfront payment prior to being able to confirm speeds, take that as a red flag. Although you may only have a few limited options in your area. So make sure to check back on the FCC website a few times a year to see if new options appear.
