An APK is the file type that is used on Android devices, just like EXE is for windows, APK is for Android. With this tool a user can download and extract any APK from an app downloaded or pre installed on their device.
You may need to have root privileges in order to extract system apps however. As 99% of the apps I showcase on this or any other channel, it is free to use and free to download. Use in on Android Smartphones, Tablets or Phablets and back up those APKs in a safe spot.
Now if a developer updates their app and it doesn't work or you don't like the direction it has gone, you can simply restore the app from an APK you previously downloaded.
