9 Feared Killed In Plateau Community
No fewer than nine persons were reportedly killed by gunmen, while one other person sustained severe injuries in Congo community of Bokkos local government area of Plateau State.
Sources from the community who craved anonymity said the injured victim is in critical condition and is currently receiving medical attention at an undisclosed medical facility.
They explained that the incident occurred in the community's market around 8 pm, shortly after the market had closed for the day on Tuesday.
The sources further said, "The unfortunate incident took place when most traders and customers had already left the premises, leaving only a few people behind".
Efforts to reach the spokesperson of the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Alfred Alabo were unsuccessful as at the time of filling this report.
