How To Do: Stem Stitch [Embroidery Tutorial] - Lorna Bateman Embroidery
In this video I demonstrate how to do the stem stitch, with two separate methods to achieve it! I also look at turning corners and how the stitch is done for both right and left handed embroiderers.
This stitch is quite simple, and a staple stitch of any hand embroidery skillset, although it can take a bit of practice to master the techniques - I hope this video will help with bring some more clarity to the process to beginner stitchers, or if you just need a refresh!
I invite you to stitch along and practice on your own doodle/practise cloth to get a feel for this stitch, and then soon enough you will be able to implement it into your own creative needlework!
