Covering Wire with Thread Tutorial | Stumpwork Techniques
I often cover florist paper-covered wires with thread in order to create a 3-dimensional effect, for example, when making horns for sheep, tendrils or stems for flowers. This short demo shows how it is done. You will need fine wire, embroidery thread, glue and a little bit of patience for this fiddly yet therapeutic technique.
