DJI OSMO Pocket 3 - Internal vs. Wireless Mic
A quick audio test to compare the onboard camera mic with the external wireless mic and the lossless external mic recording.

I forgot to note in the video but the external mic had noise reduction turned off.
This is all filmed on the Osmo Pocket 3 using 10-bit DLOG-M 4K 60p graded in Davinci Resolve using the LUT on the DJI website. Everything else is set to auto and defaults. Image quality is pretty impressive for a camera of this size.
Conclusion

I don't think the DJI mic sounds great. It's clearly very useful but I'm not sure it will win any prizes for audio quality. The clarity and presence of the room is lost compared to the onboard mic but that may be desirable in a high noise environment where isolation of each subject is needed. Although NR was off on the mic, it sounds more like it's on!
I don't think the mic position I chose on my t-shirt was optimal for this mic but that's a pretty standard location to place a mic so it's a fair test.
It's so convenient though and I think a bit of EQ could clean this up a little.
