This is the easiest way I've found to expose S-Log3
Without using tools such as false color, zebras or clipping.
It's especially useful if you are working with a minimal set-up and no external monitor for example.
All you need to do is simply turn on the standard rec709 LUT that's built into your Sony camera
This feature is on cameras such as the fx3, f30 and a6700 for example
It may sound incredibly simple and basic but it will stop you from having to worry about over-exposing.
You could also take this one step further and import custom-look LUTs
Personally, I like to use the Neutral Phantom LUT and I so know what I see on the camera is exactly what I will get
These are not embedded into the image and so you still have access to the original ungraded footage.
