🧫🔬Tomorrow is M.E.M.E. Lab Night in San Antonio at @gardopiagardens 5:30-7:30! Come learn about decomposer fungi of Texas like the Xylaria genus which includes the ever-cool #deadmansfingers. They are super crucial to recycling nutrients and keeping our forests thriving. Roxy will share a specimen she recently found at the headwaters in San Antonio. We will continue to go from forest to lab to build out our native spawn library for purposes of having decomposer fungi to use for mycoremediation! Studies have shown that inoculating invasives with native fungi helps cycle the nutrients back in the forest much faster. 🔥
