There are many ways to create and test logical functions in Excel.
And the common few are the IF, IF S, and the SWITCH function.
But which among these three performs the best?
To find out, let us review how each function works and when it’s best applicable.
When and where can the lesson be used?
To start, let’s discuss their syntaxes.
The IF function runs on three arguments. The logical test, value if true, and value if false.
The logical test is the condition to be met or proven.
And the value if true is the value to return when the logical test is proven true.
On the other hand, value if false is returned when the condition is not met.
However, value if false can be left blank since it is not required, and in return Excel indicates false.
Like IF, the IF S function also has the logical test and the value if true.
The SWITCH has four arguments - expression, value, result, and default result.
