In order to visualise the different heating systems (slab heating, coil heating in the transparent AHU, and solar heat gains), we decided to undertake a dynamic 1-day winter simulation for the Hyundai Motor Studio project in Beijing.
While not entirely accurate, this Energy2D dynamic simulations gives a good sense of the energy flows across the day. The software is based on computational physics, using interactive multiphysics simulations that model all three modes of heat transfer—conduction, convection, and radiation, and their coupling with particle dynamics.
