I wasn't supposed to post this video since it was just an exercice for my drum teacher, who's spending his time telling me "if it doesn't groove, it's shit". 👀
So I do my best, learning from the great James Brown and the amazing Clyde Stubblefield to add some groove to my playing...
It's also an opportunity to integrate scores into my videos, but I admit that I still have a little research to do on this side...
I often find myself realizing obvious things very late in life, like that being precise is just the basics of being a professional musician, or that working at a high tempo serves no purpose in the first place, so I try to correct my bad habits and to keep patience, because results never fall from the sky.🌧
