I didn't know what to do with my weekend, so G(host)od sent me this new song to keep me busy :P
More seriously, I hadn't listened to Ghost since "Meliora", which was in my opinion an incredible album and this new song is like a rediscovery of the band!
Their great strength is the clarity of their music. Everything is precise and in its place; nothing too much, and it brings out the voices so well...
I also admire the ability of the drummer to reuse the same patterns/licks, which gives great coherence to the music. I'm definitely looking forward to see the rest!
This video is also an opportunity to say goodbye to my trusty Tama Superstar kit, which will soon be replaced by a brand new very special kit.
I am delighted to show you this. And for the occasion, I am preparing a special cover; the hardest one I will probably have ever played.
