Queen Victoria's pearl earrings. They are one of the most famous and favourite royal jewellery pieces. They, like many other unique pieces of jewellery, were given to her by Prince Albert in 1847. The earrings are perfect pear-shaped pearls under two round diamonds. Their size is also admirable. Each drop-shaped pearl is at least 3cm long. After Victoria's death in 1901, the earrings were left to the crown, "to be worn by future queens after me".
