To establish a price level that can be used as a threshold for affordable housing, BETONIQ created a 20 unit 3-Bedroom apartment building on a 15 degrees sloped hill-side. By doing a comparison of the costing of this design using:
1. traditional construction,
2. a hybrid of a precast concrete column and floor system with added traditional fillings and finishing, and
3. the BETONIQ full precast concrete method with all finishing done in a factory,
the cheapest possible housing system can be found which will provide authorities a proper method to establish the threshold for affordable housing. This threshold is important so an assessment can be made of which housing projects should be earmarked as "affordable" and benefit from additional fiscal promotions.
Construction costs increase when construction time is very long. In this video you can see that there is no faster construction method than the one BETONIQ proposes.
