Honda 400EX Affordable Trail Quad Project Build Part 3. The Honda 400EX is an ideal candidate for building an affordable, reliable and run trail quad. In this series we purchase and evaluate a used 400EX. We then replace any worn or bent parts to restore its stock performance and add the necessary upgrades to the build to create a long lasting ATV for aggressive trail riding.
In this episode, we complete the installation of the PEP steering stabilizer. We then destroy and replace the stock axle carrier with a Tusk 400EX axle carrier. Lastly, we give our 400EX budget build a fresh oil change with Maxima Pro Plus oil.
In the next and final episode, we tally the price and put affordable trail quad build to the test.
