How to play youtube videos using Kodi without the youtube addon which require an api key
you can add a youtube url to a strm but it wont play if you dont have the youtube addon install, so i show you 2 methods to play youtube videos from a strm file
1 - using pilfer (python scripts i wrote for kodi) and mpv as an external video player which use yt-dlp in the backend we can open youtube links in strm files in kodi, i also show you how to set that as the default video play
2 - creating a strm file which calls the invidious kodi addon with the youtube id will open the video in the default kodi video player, or you can use piler and mpv to open the video as well
I also cover how to "subscribe" to youtube channels and playlist with invidious and save them as favourites, and modify the favourite layout and set it as the default window when kodi opens
