JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Authorities say charges have been filed against a Pittsburgh-area man for causing a disruption at Friday's campaign rally for former president Donald Trump.

Police have identified the individual as 36-year-old Stephen Weiss, who is accused of climbing the media riser and yelling onto the stage as the former president was speaking.

According to the affidavit, police say Weiss was initially witnessed exiting his seat and filming the speech from the stairs.

Authorities say Weiss then reportedly ran onto the arena floor, "jumped onto the media stage" and began yelling towards the main stage.
