How to downgrade macOS Sequoia to an older version
In this video, we’ll show how to downgrade macOS Sequoia to macOS Sonoma.

Before you downgrade, run some Mac maintenance:

2. Go to Performance and run a scan
3. Apply recommendations to optimize your Mac system
1. Downgrade using Time Machine
Hopefully, you made a backup of your Mac with Time Machine before you upgraded to Sequoia. Now, follow the steps below.
If you have an Intel-based Mac: Turn off your Mac and hold Command-R when powering up
If you have an Apple Silicon Mac: Turn off your Mac and hold down the power button
1. When the startup options screen appears, click Options
2. Click Restore from Time Machine – Continue
3. Choose the backup you want to restore from
4. Click Restore
2. Downgrade using recovery mode
This method only works for Intel-based Macs:
Shut down your Mac
Hold down Shift-Option-Command-R when powering up
Release the keys when you see the Apple logo
Click Reinstall macOS
3. Use a bootable installer
Download macOS Sonoma on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/ua/app/macos-s...
To create the bootable installer disk, open Terminal. Type this command and enter your password followed by Return: sudo/Applications/Install\macOS\Sonoma.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/macOS Sonoma installer.
