If you forget to clear out recently deleted files on your iPhone, you’ll find your storage space remains tight. Follow these tips to empty your trash for good:
1. Clear the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app. Select the photo or video and tap Delete. Tap Delete All to delete all the photos and videos.
2. If you use the Files app, open the app, tap Browse, and tap on Recently Deleted. Delete everything you no longer need.
3. Emails in the Mail app also leave leftovers. Go to the Trash folder to delete unnecessary emails permanently.
4. To empty trash in the Notes app, tap on Folders, choose Recently Deleted, tap on Edit, and then Delete All.
5. Don’t forget to empty the trash in Voice Memos. Open the app, tap on the arrow in the top left corner, tap on Recently Deleted, choose Edit and Delete All.
