gov.sg and 72255 SMS sender IDs are both legit!
From 1 July, most MINDEF/SAF SMSes will be sent from the gov.sg sender ID, which all government agencies will use. Due to operational requirements, MINDEF/SAF will continue to send SMSes related to training, mobilisation and IPPT using the 72255 sender ID. Both are legit!
