In this lesson I take you through an interval that is used in both a lead and rhythm context.
6ths can be visualised like any chord shape and, as I'll show you, you can use familiar chord shapes (such as those learned using the CAGED method) to "extract" 6th forms.
6ths have a naturally pleasing harmony against chords because of how the interval is structured. So you'll find it easy to create good music by using this interval.
I show you how to find a starting point for your 6th phrases and we'll explore different ways in which 6ths can be used to complement any chord or chord progression.
