The minor 11th arpeggio isn't just an arpeggio in its own right. It also gives us a roadmap of related triads and 7th arpeggios to approach our guitar lead in a more dynamic, "vertical" manner. In this lesson I break down this roadmap and look at some of its practical applications, making use of several arpeggio options.

We then try out these related arpeggios over a simple chord sequence, building the skeleton of our melodic phrases that we can flesh out with more linear scale phrases. Applying the grand combination of these two elements - vertical and horizontal - will help you write, improvise and train your ear to musical phrases for your guitar solos.
