Adobe Illustrator: How To Place An Image Inside Text


This is a video tutorial on how to place an image within text by creasing a clipping mask.


1. Select the text you want to fill with an image.
2. Right click and select "Create Outlines".
3. Go to the "Object" tab and select "Ungroup".
4. Make sure all of your text is selected and go to the "Object" tab and select "Compound Path" and "Make".
5 Select both the image and text, select the "Object" tab and go to "Clipping Mask", "Make".
