First you need to go to the Minecraft launcher.
And choose the Java Edition, not the Bedrock Edition.
Here we click "installation" and click "new installation".
Come up with a name.
And in the list of versions, choose the one you want to play.
I'm going to choose this version, but you can use any other version you want.
Click "create".
That's it.
Now you just have to enter this version.
