I played through the first quest of this hack a while back and it was great. I recently discovered that there was a second quest due to an awesome commenter on my first quest video so I had to give it a try. Kudos to gzip for making this awesome hack!
Here are some highlights:
9 minutes, 30 seconds - I decided to play around with the Lost Hills again since I thought I knew the combinations I failed to try in part 1. Nope. Still failed.
12 minutes, 50 seconds - Can you pick up an item while in the whirlwind? No. No you can't.
14 minutes, 45 seconds - Spend a key, get a key, call it even.
26 minutes, 40 seconds - Apparently you cannot touch a blue bubble when a clock is active. I suppose that makes sense.
51 minutes, 40 seconds - Bad place to walk here.
2 hours, 11 minutes, 15 seconds - The recorder took me here? I haven't been here yet! Then I got my "final" heart container right after, even though there are more to find. That's interesting that this hack gives more heart containers than you can use. Then right after that you find the ladder for sale, even though it was required to get to this screen...except that it wasn't because the recorder takes you here for some reason! Whew!
2 hours, 17 minutes, 10 seconds - Now that I had the ladder, I decided to go back into Dungeon 5 and grab this key.
2 hours, 27 minutes, 30 seconds - With the ladder in hand I thought I'd take a peek at Dungeon 8 for a bit, even though I hadn't completed Dungeon 7 yet. I was ready to quit for the day so I thought I'd just look around a bit until I died or ran into a barrier. Somehow that never happened.
2 hours, 39 minutes, 10 seconds - Well this will be helpful in Dungeon 7. This hack gives you more keys than you need and even allows you to buy them if you want. Quite generous.
2 hours, 43 minutes - I love how there are two different Aquamentus sprites in this hack!
3 hours, 22 minutes, 30 seconds - Barely had enough rupees here! Just two less rupees would have meant either a reset or losing a heart container. At least there are extra heart containers in this game.
3 hours, 30 minutes - Here's an odd "money or life" room that you can just walk out of. Good thing too since I didn't have the cash.
3 hours, 33 minutes, 30 seconds - I made a spreadsheet with all possible Lost Hills combinations. This time I would not fail to brute force this thing.
3 hours, 39 minutes, 20 seconds - This looks like the screen in the second quest of the original Zelda where you get the letter. Wait a minute...you get a SECOND letter here? Why? At least it doesn't overwrite any potions you might have.
3 hours, 51 minutes, 10 seconds - Look at the odd projectiles here.
4 hours, 3 minutes, 10 seconds - This is an oddly configured room. When I saw that the staircase was inaccessible, I thought that maybe this was another glitch that was going to make the game unwinnable. I quit the game shortly after and rewatched the footage to see if there was anything I missed. Turns out that there was a bombable wall I missed, and that everything would make sense shortly.
4 hours, 20 minutes, 20 seconds - Here is the other side of the mysterious stair room. I guess you can never leave via the stairs in this room. Also, I think that if you entered this room via stairs and had no bombs, you'd have to reset.
4 hours, 28 minutes, 50 seconds - You know what? I heard Ganon in the next room, noticed I didn't have the Silver Arrow yet, thought about it, looked at my map, and then foolishly strolled on in there. I got what I deserved. Return of Ganon.
Overall the second quest of this hack was just as fun if not better than the first. There were some oddities for sure, and one glitch that freezes the game shown in the first video in Dungeon 4 but for the most part I'd say it's great. This was version 3.10 so perhaps the next version of the hack will address the glitch. Definitely recommend this one. Great job once again, gzip!
