Velingrad Bulgaria St Spas Spa Hotel
Velingrad pretends to be the Spa Capital of the Balkans. After visiting we have strong doubts about whether this statement is true. This is our unbiased review of both the Hotel and Velingrad. The St. Spas Hotel is located at the end of town off on it's own. It is a poorly managed unfinished complex. Although the spa, pool and common areas are up to par, the hotel rooms are extremely dated. The most important thing of any hotel is the mattress. They spend a lot money on wood work, tile and flowers.
Apparently they self-rated their hotel at 5 stars however, at best they are 2 stars. Their menu of health treatments includes a large variety of messages, facials, an on-staff doctor to provide a variety of health treatments. However, just outside their front gate we found their huge pile of the hotel garbage, which is not in-line with the principles of heath and wealthiness.
