Midway through Tennessee’s game against Georgia on Saturday, the Vols were positioned to insert themselves as an SEC East contender.
Then the Vols crumbled.
No. 3 Georgia flexed its defensive prowess throughout the second half of a 44-21 victory over No. 12 Tennessee on Saturday at Sanford Stadium.
The Bulldogs (3-0) overcame a four-point halftime deficit and snapped Tennessee’s winning streak at eight. The Vols (2-1), who have not defeated Georgia since 2016, did not score after halftime.
