In this step-by-step tutorial, we'll dive into the exciting world of 3D fashion design using Marvelous Designer. Join us as we analyze a reference image and take you through the entire process of crafting a trendy side pocket for your garment!
We start by analyzing the reference to get an idea of the design of the pocket. We then start blocking out our 2D patterns to have enough layers for our design. We then free-sew the pieces and make things ready for simulation. We use the Layer Clone tool (over) to introduce thickness to the flap and to insert the buttons. At the end of the tutorial, we add topstitch and apply final touches so our side pocket is ready to be exported. As usual, I have packed a lot of tips and tricks in this one so let's get started. :)
