This tutorial is outdated, most of will work just fine except for one thing they changed in a new update, When creating a new Update in the video i passed three options, the first was an array of topics, that has not changed, the second was the data, that remains as well unchanged, the third option however is the one that changed, it used to be an array of targets, now it's just a boolean, this parameter by default is set to false, which means this is a public update, if you want a private update then set this to true.

Mercure Symfony is a Real time notifications and events bundle, in this tutorial for Symfony 5 we will see how to install and configure it as well as an example of both private and public updates to all and specific targets.
