Looking for ways to keep your preschooler #learningathome? #LakeshoreLearning is here to help…with two quick, easy activities exploring early #science concepts!
For these activities, you’ll need a bowl or sink filled with water, some small objects that you don’t mind getting wet, plus a journal or paper and a pencil. First, explore the concept of buoyancy by dropping some objects in water to test if they sink or float. Have your child draw a picture of one of the floating objects, then brainstorm together to come up with some more everyday items that float. For the second activity, make a paper airplane together. Launch it to see how far it can fly. Try to come up with ways to adjust your design to make the plane fly even farther. These simple at-home activities give children a fun, interactive way to explore early science concepts!
