Duffy Electric Boat Lithium Conversion San Diego
Lead Acid Battery replaced by one 36V Lithium Water Proof Battery. A Duffy electric boat in San Diego is powered by a lithium iron phosphate lithium battery. The battery is sold as a kit and comes with a new on board charger powered by 120VAC IP67 rated. The single battery replaces six flooded lead acid 220Ah deep cycle batteries.
The install took approximately two 8 hour days to remove old batteries, install lithium, charger, SOC meter, 36v to 12v DC converter, circuit breakers and new AC line to charger.
360 lbs of lead batteries were removed and sandbags were added to create ballast.
