In 2021, 176 Indigenous people were killed in Brazil. Just six fewer than in 2020.

Existing regulations cannot prevent products tainted with human rights violations from entering global supply chains. Commodities, produced at the expense of people's rights, health and safety, are being sold by EU and UK companies reaching millions of customers, making them inadvertent sponsors of environmental destruction and human rights abuses.
