A key aspect of any inventory system is a data table. a data table works similarly to spread sheets in that it stores data that can easily be retrieved later and doesn't have to be replicated each time we need to make items.
got a shop keep? use the data table to tell him which items he'll sell.
quest rewards? get them from the data table.
