Laureus Ambassador André Villas-Boas will take on the world famous Dakar Challenge as part of the Toyota Overdrive Race For Good Team and will do so with prestigious partners, as the Toyota Hilux driven by André Villas-Boas will show the logos and colours of his favorite humanitarian causes, including Laureus Sport for Good. Andre will drive in the car category of the event, which begins in Peru on January 6.
Villas-Boas is one of the most respected young football coaches in the world. He has been manager of English Premier League clubs Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, Russian club Zenit St Petersburg and most recently Shanghai in the Chinese League. In his home country of Portugal, he coached Academica and FC Porto.
He became a Laureus Ambassador in 2013.
