To replace door locks (a deadbolt and know) with a modern picture handle, you'll need a pitcher handle set, a screwdriver, a pencil, and a drill.
Remove the old door hardware.
Mark the position of the hole you need to drill to secure the picture handle using the provided template.
Drill the hole. Picture handle manufactures require different sized holes so be sure to use the drill bit specified in the instructions.
Install the Latch: Insert the latch into the side of the door. Be sure the arrow on the latch is pointed up, and secure it with screws.
Attach the Handle: Align the pitcher handle with the drilled holes and attach it using screws provided in the kit. Ensure the handle operates smoothly.
Install the deadbolt in the hole left by the deadbolt you have removed. If you are installing a smart lock in place of the old deadbolt, be sure to run the wires from the front of the lock to the back of the lock by going underneath the latch.
