Starting Position
To begin, ensure that the lock has been reset. This usually means the dial should be turned several times clockwise (to the right). This step is crucial as it resets the internal mechanism of the lock
First Number: Turn Clockwise
After resetting the lock, turn the dial clockwise (to the right) and stop when the first number of your combination aligns with the indicator notch or line on the lock. Be precise with your movements, as passing the number means you’ll need to restart.
Second Number: Turn Counterclockwise
Next, turn the dial counterclockwise (to the left). As you do this, pass the first number of your combination—continue turning. Then, stop turning when the second number of your combination aligns with the indicator. You must pass the first number once before stopping at the second number.
Third Number: Turn Clockwise Again
For the final number, turn the dial clockwise (to the right) again. This time, stop immediately when the third number of your combination aligns with the indicator notch.
Open the Lock
After entering the combination correctly, pull up on the shackle (the U-shaped part of the lock). The lock should open easily. If it doesn’t open, it may be due to an error in dialing the combination.
