HUGE Twitch Money Laundering Scandal with Valorant Players
We have exposed a massive Twitch scam involving credit fraud and money laundering, involving 100’s of EMEA Valorant pros that are now facing bans and even potential jail time.
As first reported by Jake Lucky, 100’s of Valorant pros in Turkey appear to be involved in a massive money laundering scam using Twitch bits to take money from stolen credit cards. The criminals with the stolen cards would use them to donate huge amounts of bits to the Valorant pros on Twitch, and then the pros would take a cut of the money from Twitch bits before sending the rest back to the criminals with the stolen cards.
So now 100’s of EMEA Valorant pros appear to be involved in a massive financial fraud and money laundering scam, and one of the biggest scams in Twitch history in general, with potentially career ending implications including possible Twitch bans, Riot potentially banning them from Valorant pro play, and even possible jail time for involvement in fraud and financial crimes.
And the names involved even include deNc, the brother of Valorant star cNed, and other massive names in the Turkish valorant scene. deNc, for his part, admits his involvement, but denies actively participating in the money laundering and Twitch bit scam, saying he just acted as an intermediary to friends and never took stolen money through Twitch bits. The investigation is ongoing, and we will have updates as punishments and more info become available.
