How To Install Software & Updates on all versions of Ubuntu 16.04
In this video, I will show you how to install software for all versions of Ubuntu 16.04 and yes this works for the CLI part in the Server version as well. Most of the gui (Graphical User Interface) stuff is just point and click. The command line is a little different.
Command line:
Updates
Way 1:
Start Terminal
$ sudo su
Put in password when prompted
apt-get update
#apt-get upgrade
#apt-get dist-upgrade
Way 2:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Install Software
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install skype
