Nick Lockard is an ethical hacker that conducted a trojan and ransomware simulation. Lockard was able to create a fully undetectable Microsoft Word Document and run it in Office 2021 on Windows 10 Professional 21H2. This Word Document established a remote connection to Lockard and allowed him the ability for Remote Code Execution (RCE). Lockard was able to download additional tools and script to back door Google Chrome and encrypt all files in the victims Documents folder.
