Update, this dog never came back in. It's coat had sand all in it which ruined the blades I used on it. It was a costly groom for me and for the pet. As the labor intensive groom does take a toll on pets. This dog was amazing in demeanor and so kind hearted as I had to get all the matts out of its coat. Whether you think this should be done or not is not the question until you've done my job. A matted any kind of dog needs to be deshedded before ever bathing again. The dog was matted to the gill. Bathing a matted pet will cause it to be even more matted. It took a long time to complete this task and over $125. This dog was so well behaved for such a painful task.
