Diffusion filters could very well be the best thing you ever buy as they not only give your footage a more filmic look but they also save you a ton of time in post processing. Due to their ability to take some of that harsh digital look out of your clips.
The Bloom filters are fairly unique in that they soften skin while still managing to keep contrast levels high and retain sharpness and they also add some lovely halation. The Bloom filters don't stop there though as they also add a slight sun kissed toning to your scene giving a nice vintage feel to the look they give.
The filters I have used all a long have been the Formatt Hitech Black Supermist Diffusion filters as well as the soft gold and soft silver filters and while they all give you a certain look I have to say I really like the look of the Bloom filters as they are close to the soft golds which I love.
All my Youtube videos over the last year or so have been shot with the Black Super Mist filters in fact but this one was the first to be shot with the Bloom Diffusion filters.
