Live cultures of wild-type H. pylori and a mutant lacking the chemoreceptor TlpB (ΔtlpB) were exposed to a urea microgradient generated by injecting 1 mM urea from a micropipette tip that appears in the left field of view. The responses of bacteria were recorded starting at 4 seconds pre-injection. For additional details, see Huang et al.
