Tennessee prepares to resume death row executions in 2025 with new lethal injection drug
Tennessee says it is ready to resume death row executions in 2025.
The Department of Corrections announced it will use a drug for lethal injections that has been used in more than a dozen states.
After suspending executions in the spring of 2022, because of questions surrounding lethal injection drugs, Tenn. now says it is ready to resume scheduling executions for the 46 people on death row.
