In this video I show you how to edit high quality Instagram stories!
Whether you are using a GoPro, an iPhone or Android phone or a DSLR camera, you Instagram stories won't look great unless you know how to edit them in a way, that nobody is going to skip your Instagram stories.
This is a quick video editing guide how you should edit your Instagram stories:
Music:
Music in Instagram stories is very important because it prevents that user are going to skip your Instagram story. It's not that easy to cut down a song to only 15 seconds for your Story, but I show you 2 easy tricks how to do that and one a bit more advanced one. If you can include music which fades in or out nicely it helps that more people actually watch your Instagram story! So it's really important that you also know how to edit your music. Video editing alone doesn't bring you far if you can combine it to other editing aspects.
Aspect Ratio:
The aspect ratio of Instagram stories is 9:16, that's no secret. But to have a high image quality in your Instagram stories you need to know more than just the ratio.
If you have 4K clips use the ratio of 1215:2160 to edit your Instagram story. Like that your Instagram stories will look amazing once you upload them.
Editing:
Music and image quality is important, but even more important is your editing style. If you are able to make an engaging Instagram story much more people will respond to it, meaning Instagram is going to push this story out to more people and like that you can grow your following.
That's why I also give you a few tips how you should edit your Instagram stories, including a very cool transition wich works really well with Instagram stories.
Exporting:
So once you are done editing Instagram stories you have to export it. Your export settings will decide whether your image quality will look great on Instagram or just your mobile phone. I share with you my Instagram story export settings which actually work. I get every time I upload an Instagram story comments, why the image quality looks so amazing and the reason is that I know how to export Instagram stories.
I use the same aspect ratio as for the editing sequence, software encoding 5.0 and a bit rate of 60 - that's it!
