using free software for both the Raspberry Pi(Raspbian Jessie) and a LInux Laptop using Linux MINT 17.3, this video takes you step by step on how to get the software running on both the PI and the LINUX laptop in order to remote into a Raspberry Pi that has been connected to your rig.(an Elecraft K3S transceiver shown on this video) The Pi is streaming 2 way audio, FULL DUPLEX, with Zita-njbridge.

RealVNC is used, which is native to the pi as a server, and the RealVNC CLient is downloaded on the laptop.

GRIG is utilized on the pi desktop in order to control the K3S band, frequency, mode etc...

NOTE: this video is using an ELECRAFT K3S, with its own
USB sound card...however, you can still apply this setup to remote to any other RIG using something like this USB SOUND CARD:
