Rob Simonsen's score for this film is deceptively simple. There's a low, heavy soundscape that runs throughout the film, as befitting the subject matter, but from this very first cue he also sprinkles in a beautiful main theme, which he then develops until it can truly blossom for the film's climax.
Starring Brendan Fraser in a performance that won him a deserved Best Actor Oscar, and co-starring Sadie Sink, Hong Chau, Ty Simpkins and Samantha Morton. Directed by Darren Aronofsky, with a screenplay by Samuel D. Hunter, based on his play. Original score by Rob Simonsen.
